The Cry is an international Coverband formed in Berlin in 1997. The band has a large repetoire and has performed on television, at open air festivals, company partys and in clubs and restaurants. Their cover songs stretch fBand members Coverband The Cryrom the 50s to the 90s and encompass  many different styles: Rock, Pop, Blues, Soul and Country. With a repertoire of over 150 songs, the band can easily adapt their program to meet the occasion. The Cry is Rick Derman (USA) and Richard Arame (F) on guitar and vocals, Tom Jordan (D/USA) on bass and vocals and Joe DiCarlo (USA) on drums and backing vocals.

Before Rick Derman came to Germany he worked as a staff producer and songwriter with Yellow Brick Road Productions in New Haven, Ct. and recorded in top New York studios with Rick Derringer and members of the Joe Cocker band. He has made his living as a professional musician in Germany since 1995.

Richard Arame was born in Paris and played with his father in various small orchestras. He is a guitarist, singer, songwriter and arranger. He began playing blues and rock in the mid-70s and later oriented himself towards funk, R&B and jazz-rock.  He has performed around the world in New York, Moscow, London and Saudi Arabia.

Tom Jordan has been playing professionally since 1997 and attended the famous Berklee School of Music in Boston.  He has played with several well known Berlin artists like Queen Jahne, Guitar Crusher and New York Nick.

Joe DiCarlo is multitalented: musician, arranger, songwriter and producer. He has played with such well known acts as Todd Rundgren, Patty LaBelle und The Weather Girls.
